Lucy, or rather, Sue, grew up in Nottingham, before upping sticks for Leeds as a student. She has also lived and worked in London, Oxford and Brighton before moving to Bath in 2007. She has worked in publishing (as an editor of children's books for several publishers) and for the BBC, but has also done slightly more horrible jobs such as packing bananas in Australia, teaching delinquent children in New York and working as a Saturday girl in BHS (the glamour).
As Sue, she has had over one hundred children's books published about wizards, fairies, naughty princes and mermaids. As Lucy, she writes rather more juicy novels about love, infidelity, friendship and betrayal. She started writing her first novel, Any Way You Want Me, when she was a full-time mum with a one-year-old and a baby, and felt overwhelmed by how different her life had become from the London days back when she still had a career (and a life!).
She lives with her husband and three young children in Bath.
Favourite new romantic band: it's got to be Duran Duran. I had SUCH a whopping crush on John Taylor.
